Give the community as well as the city
For a Delta vehicle, provide the exact pickup address and community, rather than only writing Delta. A car in a residential driveway and one behind a commercial yard gate need different access plans. If your postal address uses Tsawwassen, include the actual pickup location so coverage and timing can be checked for that address.
What we need for your Delta assessment
Your car is assessed individually. Send the year, make, model, approximate kilometres and what you know about its faults. Current photos of the body, interior and damage are more useful than a picture from when it was running.
- Tell us whether it starts, rolls, steers and has its wheels.
- List missing major parts and whether you have the keys.
- Give the exact address and describe access for loading.
- Explain your ownership documents or any missing paperwork.
Price and pickup are agreed, not guessed
There is no fixed payout for every scrap car in Delta. We assess the vehicle and discuss the price before a sale is agreed. Towing is free for vehicles we buy, and payment is completed at pickup. Ask about the payment arrangement before handover.
Is same-day pickup guaranteed?
No. We check the exact Delta location, vehicle condition, loading access and driver availability first. Outlying pickups need a separate review. Do not make travel or storage arrangements around a pickup until it is confirmed.
Before handover
Remove your belongings and have the ownership documents ready. If the car is not registered to you, or documents are missing, explain that before collection. ICBC advises sellers to remove their licence plates and keep signed sale documents. Ask an Autoplan broker about unresolved ownership questions. Read ICBC's seller checklist.
